Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn town, in Germany, on 16th December 1770. He came from a family of musicians since his father Johann and Louis (his grandfather) used to be musicians. At the age of seventeen years, he moved to Vienna in 1787; Vienna became his hometown for his entire life. Although he stayed in Vienna for a considerable period in his life, he had moved to Bonn upon hearing that his mother was about to die. He stayed in Bonn for five years after which he finally went to Vienna where he lived and worked before moving to a secluded village. His grandfather (Louis van Beethoven) used to work at the Elector’s court in Cologne. Ludwig van Beethoven died in 1827 at the age of fifty six years (Viegas 8-32)._x000D_
